Miss Emily is a Special Education teacher. Helena and Luke are students in Miss Eve's class. Miss Emily has put Helena and Luke in a group together. They will be working with Miss Emily in Miss Eve's classroom 2 days a week on Monday and Thursday. They will learn how to manage their emotions like learning how to take deep breaths when they are upset, asking for help when they need an adult to help them calm down and making new friends! Helena and Luke don't really know each other. But, they end up learning a lot about each other through a conversation with Miss Emily. Helena loves puzzles, books and coloring. Luke loves playing with trains and running on the play ground. In the end, they love being in a group together and they are going to have a fun year with Miss Emily.

Once upon a time, in a town named Hamelin, there was a big problem. The town had too many rats. They ran through the streets and made everyone unhappy. The people tried to get rid of the rats but nothing worked. One day, a man dressed in colorful clothes arrived. He was called the Pied Piper because he played magical tunes on his flute. The Pied Piper played a tune on his flute. The rats followed him. The Pied Paper walked towards the river. The rats fell into the water and were never to be seen again. The people were thrilled that the rats were gone. But the town leaders refused to thank and pay Pied Piper. They broke their promise. The Pied Piper felt sad. He decided to teach the town a lesson. He played a different tune on his flute. This time all the children of the town followed him. They followed him out of town, through a secret door in a mountain, and into a magical land. From that day the town of Hamelin had no children.

Nanay suggests Tinay rest for the day and skip school, which makes Tinay feel sad because she had been looking forward to playing with her friends after class. Nanay, always mindful of her daughter’s well-being, reassures her that resting is the best way to recover. Tinay, though disappointed, understands that she must stay home. Setting 3: Tinay’s Bedroom As Tinay lies in bed, she feels a deep sadness. Her mind drifts to thoughts of her friends and their favorite hangout, Balayong Park. The park is wide, with open green spaces and a refreshing breeze. She remembers the joyful times they spent running and playing together. Although she knows she needs to rest, Tinay can’t help but long for the happiness and freedom she feels when she’s with her friends at the park

Sally decided to take a closer look to see if she could help the fish. “Hey fish, what’s got you struggling so?” she asked. “I got caught up” replied the fish. “That fisherman is trying to take me for a ride” the fish continued. Sally looked up and saw the fisherman trying to reel in the fish. Sally thought for a moment, “why don’t you ask him to let you go?” she said. “Well I never thought of that,” remarked the fish. So the fish got up all of its might, jumped out of the water and yelled, “LET ME GO! Please!”, he said please because he was a polite fish after all. The fisherman didn’t move, he just kept trying to reel the fish in. “Well, what did he say?” asked Sally. “He doesn’t speak fish” replied the fish. Sally thought maybe she could try to talk to the fisherman. She flew over to him and said “excuse me, sir, but could you please let my friend the fish go?” But the fisherman only heard “caw, caw, caw caaaw, caw caw.” Sally flew back to the fish. The fish asked, “is he going to let me go?” “No” Sally replied, “he doesn’t speak seagull.” Just then a sea otter swam up, he had heard them talking and was wondering what the commotion was all about. The sea otter asked the fish, “what’s going on over here?”

But next days it was all the same. The next day, the girl woke up very early, because she was woken up by the sun's rays, as if on purpose. And at this time, a surprise awaited her. Through the window, she noticed how a squirrel deftly jumps on the trees of her garden and holds three nuts firmly in its teeth. Yarynka came closer to the window and froze, watching what would happen next. And the squirrel was indeed on its way to Yarynka. She again left the gift in its usual place and said hello with a wave of her beautiful red tail, and then hurried off to the garden.The girl learned that the squirrel wanted to thank her for the careful attitude to the place where she lived with her family.
