The United States Naval Academy (also known as USNA, Annapolis, or Navy) is a four-year coeducational federal service academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Secretary of the Navy George Bancroft began it in 1845. It is the second-oldest of the United States' five service academies. It educates officers mostly to join the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The 338-acre (137 ha) campus is on the former grounds of Fort Severn where the Severn River flows into Chesapeake Bay. The entire campus is a National Historic Landmark. The campus has many historic sites, buildings, and monuments. One monument is the Herndon Monument, once a year the upper three classes add grease and challenge the freshmen to reach the tip (usually unsuccessfully).
Candidates for admission generally must both apply directly to the academy and receive a nomination, usually from a congressman.

Red Dragon was a friendly, happy dragon who lived at the library. Red Dragon enjoyed being with the children who visited the library, but Red Dragon missed Orange Dragon, who was also a friendly, happy dragon. The Friends of the Library (two older women, silver haired, 70's, glasses, kind, happy faces) visited Red Dragon and said they will try to find Orange Dragon. The Friends of the Library did some research at the library and found out where Orange Dragon lived. The Friends of the Library sent a letter to Orange Dragon asking the dragon to come visit Red Dragon. After a while the Friends of the Library received a letter saying that Orange Dragon was on the way to the library, but that it will take some time to get there as the dragon was far, far, away. The Friends of the Library and Red Dragon were very happy! They decided that it might be time to give real names to the two dragons, and they asked the children of the library to help.

The largest amphibious warfare ships are the LHDs,  can carry 1,870 troops, a variety of air and landing craft, and have nine aircraft spots.
Most modern amphibious assault ships have a well deck, which allows them to launch landing craft in rougher seas
 This ship and similar ships can carry a marine battalion with guns, vehicles, equipment, and a helicopter squadron.
A Wasp-class amphibious assault ship can transport up to 30,800 square feet of cargo. It also has 20,000 square feet for vehicles, which can include 5 M1 Abrams battle tanks, 25 AAVs, 8 M198 howitzers, 68 trucks, and 12 other support vehicles.
Each Wasp-class ship has a hospital with 64 patient beds and 6 operating rooms.
