The unrest and turmoil of the Fredonian Rebellion worried Mexican leaders. They were concerned that other Anglos living in Texas might want to rebel. They sent General Manuel de Mier y Teran to Texas to investigate. Teran inspected the conditions of Americans living in Texas and their attitudes toward Mexico. He included this information in his report:
Anglos were not loyal to Mexico.
They did not follow the laws of the Constitution.
They kept their culture from the United States.
This included slavery and Protestant religious beliefs.

General Mier y Teran made several recommendations:
Close the border to further settlement by Americans
Increase immigration from Europe and Mexico
Increase trade between Mexico and Texas
Strengthen the presidios by adding more military

1.  John Jr got a camera for his birthday.  John Jr and Nazut would play dress up and take funny pictures of each other.  They had fun doing this and would put on some really wild costumes.
2.  John Jr would dress up like cowboys, Sailors, Race Car Driver and other fun jobs.  Nazut enjoyed dressing up like wizards and witches.  They started to do video recording with the camera. 
3.  John Jr and Nazut decided to make a movie for John Jr parents.  They planned out the plot and then thought of a title.  The decided to do John Jr and Nazuts Funny Stories.  The came up with three funny stories and started rehearsal.  Once they had the skit perfected the recorded it.  
4.  One skit was John Jr eating banana and dropping peel so Nazut would trip and fall.  Another skit was a magic trick where Nazut cuts John in half.  The 3rd one was where John Jr facts in Nazuts space and laughed about it.
5.  John Jr and Nazut add special effects to their videos and pile the three videos into one.  John Jr and Nazut made some popcorn and presented their movie to John Jr's parents and gave them some popcorn.  Everyone watched the movie. John Jr's mom and dad clapped and cheered and John Jr and Nazut's goofy movie.

1.  John Jr and Hopsi were reading their Bible.  They came across the virtue of temperance.  John Jr and Hopsi decided to ask the preschool teacher to tell them more about temperance.
2.  Temperance  involves moderation in one's thoughts, feelings, and actions, and having self-control.   John Jr and Hopsi wanted to learn how they could practice temperance.
3.  John Jr and Hopsi was going to practice abstinence of something that habitual in their life for a week.  They made a list of their habits and each decided on on thing.  John Jr was going to give up his game boy and Hopsi was going to give up carrots.
4.  John Jr and Hopsi decided they were also going change how they did stuff.  Try to make some healthy habits.
4.  John Jr and Hopsi planned on Exercising for 20 minutes every day for a week, Practicing an instrument for 30 minutes every day for a week ,Making your bed first thing every morning , Turning off TV by 7 PM for a week, Waiting until after dinner to eat dessert

1.  Vasi asked John Jr about being Kind.  Vasi had heard that a brief act of kindness can change people’s hearts.  Vasi thought that sounded like something that he wanted to do. 
2. John Jr told Vasi that kindness was the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.  John Jr and Vasi decided to go out and try to be kind to everything for the day.
3.  They went for walk into town.  John Jr decided to gather old books to donate to the Children's home. John Jr told Vasi to smile at everyone.  They smiled and everyone smiled back. John Jr and Vasi took books to the Children's home and they recieved compliments for their kindness.  That made John Jr and Vasi feel good inside.
2.  John Jr and Vasi decided to go to store to pick up something to feed the birds and a snack for themselves.  When they got to store, John Jr and Vasi held door open for people.  As they was shopping they saw a family who had matching outfits on.  John Jr gave them a compliment.  The family smiled at John Jr and Vasi.

"Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see".  John Jr and Vasi tell each other how easy it is to be kind
4.  John Jr and Vasi saw a mom with 5 young kids struggling to push two carts to her car.  John Jr and Vasi go over and push the 2nd cart and help keep the kids safe.   At the car, John Jr and Vasi helped to unload the carts.  The momma was very appreciative and gave John Jr and Vasi some candy she had just bought.
5. John Jr and Vasi head home and give bird seed to the birds along the way.  At home John Jr tells his parents about his goal to be the kindest person.  His parents hugged him and said that was a wonderful goal.
