When Bathsheba turned out to be pregnant, David called her husband Uriah home from the battle field hoping he would sleep with her. That would “solve” the problem of Bathsheba’s pregnancy. But Uriah didn’t go home, not even when made drunk, so David sent him back to the battle field with a letter ordering his death. After Uriah’s death, David married Bathsheba. The description of this whole story ends with a clear comment: “the thing that David had done displeased the Lord” (2 Samuel 11:27). God didn’t let David get away with this. He confronted him with his sin, and David repented. Psalm 51 gives us an intimate glimpse of his emotions:

Livingston, and Roger Sherman, were the ones who had the most influential input into authoring the document. Thomas Jefferson actually wrote the original document the Second Continental Congress then did the editing. The signers of the Declaration of Independence are the nation's Founding Fathers. 3. John Jr explained how the Declaration explains to the world why the Thirteen Colonies regarded themselves as independent states no longer subject to British colonial rule. The Declaration justified the independence of the United States by listing 27 colonial grievances against King George III and by asserting certain natural and legal rights, including a right of revolution. 5. John Jr told Yuēhàn that The Declaration of Independence has proven an impactful statement on human rights, particularly its second sentence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." 6. I can't tell you how often I wish my lifelong trial would be over and how often I literally ask God why he is making me go through all this pain even I KNOW he could take it away... Then I remember the little and big wins along the way and the things I have learned and gained because of pain I am constantly in. God absolutely tells me where to step, but I haven't ever experienced the feeling of him completely lifting me to the top of the playground. I feel him watching me and cheering me along. Then I do something impossible and I jump up and down with joy saying "I did it!" and I know he's so proud of me. And just like little Lex I think to myself, "Oh that’s why you let us do hard things." Let's not forget to let God guide us. Thank God for the miracles we experience every day
