Rural Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge regime (1975-1979), where intense fear and secrecy dominate. A farmer lives under the constant threat of the Khmer Rouge, who enforce brutal policies against intellectuals, ethnic minorities, and anyone deemed counter to their regime. The farmer witnesses the arrest and disappearance of neighbors, realizing that the Khmer Rouge’s brutality could soon affect those he knows and cares about. He decides to act rather than stand by, initiating his resistance. The farmer begins secretly hiding families on his property, moving them at night and smuggling food. He faces immense risk, aware that being caught would lead to execution for him and everyone he’s hiding. Rumors circulate that villagers are betraying each other to save themselves. The farmer becomes increasingly paranoid but is determined to stay strong and support those hiding on his property. Soldiers arrive to search his home. In a moment of intense danger, the farmer keeps his composure, calmly engaging the soldiers in conversation to avoid suspicion while hiding his terror. The soldiers move on, narrowly missing the hidden families. After the soldiers leave, the farmer and the families he sheltered are left in a quiet, tense relief. The families decide to move on the next day to prevent further danger to the farmer. Survivors, inspired by the farmer’s courage, tell his story in whispered tones to others, spreading awareness about the possibility of resistance even under a brutal regime.

Miko loves popping and looking out of burrows to explore the Kalahari. Lou is a clever lizard; she loves to imagine the stars in the sky so much that she sometimes forgets to listen in class. He was always digging burrows and often got distracted during his How to Spot a Predator class with the other meerkats. Lou also struggled in class. She couldn’t focus on her Sun Safety class with the other lizards because she was easily distracted by the clouds in the sky and often forgot to take down her homework.After visiting Dr Wild the Wildebeest, Miko and Lou learnt to do things that would help them to manage their ADHD. Miko became the captain of the sand surfing team and had the fastest record in the desert! Miko was also top of his insect tracking class and created the first ever pair of insect spy goggles that could see different insect tracks and tell you what type of insect you are looking at!Lou enjoyed stargazing so much that she was top of the class for astronomy and could name every constellation (Miko and Lou need to be in the desert, in scenes like the class there needs to be other meerkat and lizards, not children) . They have support from their parents, teachers and classmates. But the best part was that they could count on each other!

When she got tangled in a wire crawl, Ahri began to cry, feeling as if she had failed. Sargent Carly comforted her, saying, “You didn’t fail; you tried, and that’s important. You can try again.” Encouraged by Carly’s words, Ahri trained diligently. On her next attempt, she successfully completed the course, her friends cheering her on. Ahri realized that finding her purpose was about the journey and learning alongside loved ones, knowing she was on the right path to understanding who she was meant to be.
