Antonio es un niño muy curioso. Vive con su mamá Flor, su papá Ale y su hermana Sofi en Buenos Aires. Un día estaban en el club con toda la familia y de repente Antonio y Sofi vieron un caballo muy chiquito en el pasto. Era un caballo muy especial que entraba en la palma de una mano. Papa Bear noticed and knelt down next to him. “I know this is hard,” Papa Bear said softly. “We all miss Mama Bear, and nothing will change that. Lady Bear isn’t here to replace her. She’s just here to get to know us and help us feel happy again.” Brother Bear looked at Lady Bear. She seemed kind, but the thought of everything changing still felt strange. “I miss Mama,” he whispered. Lady Bear nodded. “I understand, Brother Bear. It’s okay to miss her. I’m not here to take her place. I just want to be here for you and your family, and maybe, in time, we can be friends.” That night, Lady Bear helped Papa Bear make dinner, and as they sat around the table, Brother Bear found himself talking about his day. This fly was from Mars and it loved to read books. So, one day when the door to the library media center was left open by a student, this Martian fly flew right in. He was in fly heaven. He went from book to book and read how to live on Earth. What to eat to not make his belly hurt. And how to avoid humans. He was having the time of his life. Until one day, he made a big mistake. The media specialist and her assistant Miss Bee and Miss Crystal saw him in the nonfiction section. They didn't know that he was an alien. They assumed he was a mutated fly that was so big that he might bite one of their students. No matter how hard they tried they were unable to catch the fly. Soon, they gave up because they had a job to do and that was to make sure all students could come in and check out great books to read as well as help students with their Chromebooks. So Miss Bee decided to trap the fly in another room so no student could be harm by the fearsome creature.

À chaque étape, Mila et Paco hésitent, mais Léonard, bien que terrifié, trouve les mots pour les encourager à continuer. Ils rencontrent aussi d’autres animaux, comme un paresseux qui leur conseille de ne pas se presser et un singe farceur qui leur propose un raccourci risqué. Léonard prend le temps de réfléchir et choisit toujours la solution la plus sûre, prouvant que le courage n’est pas l’absence de peur, mais la capacité de prendre des décisions difficiles. Ils reviennent au refuge avec les lianes juste à temps. Grâce à leur courage et à leur coopération, ils sauvent la tanière. Léonard découvre qu’il n’est pas nécessaire d’être grand et fort pour être courageux : il suffit d’agir malgré ses peurs. La tribu le félicite, et son grand-père lui dit qu’il est fier de lui. Léonard se couche ce soir-là, la poitrine gonflée de fierté, prêt à affronter de nouvelles aventures.
