He looks desperate and asks the bakery assistant who has come out of the store to call an ambulance. While they wait for the ambulance, Max vomits several times. When the ambulance arrives and Max is placed on the stretcher, he briefly loses consciousness and a bleeding wound can be seen on his right temple. His father is completely distraught and cries bitterly. The paramedics calm him down and dress Max's wound, but he wakes up again and starts crying. The father is allowed to take the ambulance to the children's hospital. Max and his father are admitted to the hospital, where his score on the GIasgow coma scale for children is 9, confirming the diagnosis of moderate traumatic brain injury with bruising on the right. His wound can be taped and closed with terile adhesive wound strips (Steri-Strip@). John Jr's Mom sat down and said that she would explain hope to them. 2. John Jr's mom said hope was a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. She said it is when we really want something to happen. She said we cherish our desires with an expectation in order to have hope. 3. John Jr's Mom urged John Jr and Hopsi to think about the future and to make plans. She said that envisioning a brighter or better future would allow John Jr and Hopsi to stay optimistic. 4. John Jr's Mom explained the types of hope. Material Hope, which is the sense of control when given the resources to deal with forces that affect everyday lives; Socractic Hope, which provides opportunities to question the unjust society; and Audacious Hope, which provides us strength through Christ , so we don't loose heart. The book of Isaiah in the Bible says we need to be Fearless and bold with our Audacious Hope. 5. John Jr found in the Bible the verse Romans 15:13 ~ "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." John Jr and Hopsi decided that they would always stay hopeful. They decided that they would start praying for a better tomorrow.

Layths father noticed Layth was sad so he asked, whats wrong. Layth told his father about his dream and said "I would love to learn how to skateboard." His father explained that he doesnt know how to skateboard but luckily Layths Uncle Tio Von is very good at skateboarding. So Layths father called Tio Von to the house to show Layth how to skateboard and do tricks. Layth was a natural and learned very fast. The next day Layth entered the Canada Skateboard Extreme Tricks Competition and won 1st Place
