Lots of children give plastic bottle lids to Lids4Kids to be recycled. Lids4Kids volunteers sort them into color categories as a group. The colored lids are divided into 3 groups before being poured into a big machine that mulches them into small flakes. Another machine melts the flakes and extrudes them into a metal mold in the shape of slats for a bench. Volunteers then use carpentry tools to build a colorful bench.

Mia led them in a game of tag, and soon everyone was laughing and having fun. Even Max couldn’t help but smile as he ran around with Mia and Bella. After a while, Max felt something different in his heart. He realized he didn’t want to be mean anymore. “I’m sorry for teasing you, Mia. I guess being kind is much better,” he said, looking down at his shoes. Mia beamed. “Thank you, Max! It’s always nice to be kind to each other. It makes us all feel good!” From that day on, Mia, Bella, and even Max became great friends. They played together every day, spreading kindness all around the park. And whenever someone felt sad or alone, Mia was always ready with a hug and a smile, reminding everyone that kindness is the best gift of all. The end.

Once theres less and less amount of trash, more and more people notice and want to help the kids and join their clean up crew. Once more and more people join and less and less trash that eventually theres no more trash in their reef. The mayor of the reef notice this and decide to award the friend group that oringal made the clean up crew and make a day out of helping protecting the reef/community from future trash
