Why Won't You Be a Lap Kitty
Once upon a time, a lovely calico cat named Ripley became part of a family. Ripley was overweight, very playful, and curious. She had mostly white fur on her front paws and chest, with black around her eyes that looked like eyeliner.

The family adored Ripley and hoped she would become a lap cat. They imagined her snuggling on their laps, purring contentedly. But Ripley had her own ideas. She preferred to explore the house, chase after toys, and nap in cozy spots.
2
The family decided to be patient and show Ripley lots of love. They played with her, gave her tasty treats, and created comfy spots for her to relax. They hoped that with time, Ripley would come to enjoy sitting in their laps.

As the days went by, Ripley continued to be her playful and curious self. She would dart around the house, pounce on her toys, and even try to catch imaginary creatures. The family couldn't help but laugh at her adorable quirks.
4
One day, Holly, a kind woman with medium blonde hair, visited the family. She spent time with Ripley, showering her with affection. Ripley seemed to enjoy Holly's company, and the family wondered if something special was about to happen.
5
Surprisingly, as the family and Holly chatted, Ripley strolled over and hopped onto Holly's lap. Everyone was amazed! Ripley had finally chosen to be a lap cat. Holly gently petted Ripley, and the family beamed with joy.
6
From that day on, Ripley became a lap cat, especially when Holly was around. She would curl up on Holly's lap, purring contentedly. The family learned that sometimes, love and patience can help even the most independent spirits find their way to a warm lap.
7
And so, Ripley brought endless joy to the family, proving that her independent nature could coexist with moments of love and togetherness. The family cherished every lap cuddle and cherished their playful, curious, and now lap-loving calico cat.
