Lost in Africa

the snow bear

Once there was a snow bear, fluffy and white. He found himself in Africa, what a sight! Lost and confused, he'd lost his way. The sun was so hot, no place to stay.
1
On a dusty path met a boy named Sam. Long brown hair, he loved to scram. Sam saw the bear, with eyes open wide. "Hello there! Need a guide?"
2
The bear nodded, feeling so alone. "I want to go where there's snow and stone." Sam grinned, "Let me lend you a hand. We'll find your home, a frosty land."
3
Together they trudged through the desert sand. A determined duo, hand in paw, grand. Berries they found were sweet and red. Under a starry sky, they shared some bread.
4
In a jungle deep, they took a rest. Facing lions, boy and bear were at their best. Sam sang a tune, loud and clear. The jungle's kings backed off in fear!
5
The river was wide, like a serpent long. "Let's build a raft, and ride along." With leaves and twigs, they built it strong. To the North, they were drawn!
6
Floating smoothly under skies of blue. Over them clouds began to stew. A storm was brewing, winds did howl. To stay afloat, they used a towel.
7
Soon they saw ice, an icy sight. White owls around did take flight. The bear felt happy, 'Twas cold and bright. Sam shivered but felt alright.
8
Friends did gather, bears large and small. Each welcomed the pair, loved them all. A warm bear hug for brave boy Sam. Who helped his friend, like a gem.
9
The snow bear snow danced, feeling free. Ice hills glistened as far as he could see. Sam smiled, his mission done. A friend's reunion, oh what fun!
10
Time for Sam to head back south. With stories of bears and wide mouth. Snow bear cried but then he knew. Friends afar will find ways to renew.
11
Sam reached home, heart full of light. Yet he knew, the journey was right. A friend from afar, a bond so rare. A boy and a bear, an adventurous pair!
