One morning, her best friend, Maggie the Rabbit, said, “Cassie, have you ever wondered what the birds see from the sky? It must be just beautiful!” Cassie glanced up at the sky and said, “Not really, Maggie. I’m more comfortable on the ground. I don’t even like climbing trees like the rest of my family. I’m actually rather frightened of heights.”

I’m actually rather frightened of heights.” “Really?” Maggie said, “I think that standing at the top of that cliff over there would give me a good view, like a bird’s. See how high it goes above the trees of Gentlewood forest? We should go together! Maybe you’ll change your mind about being up so high!" “Probably not!” Laughed Cassie, “But tell me all about it when you get back!”

With Maggie's gentle nudging, Cassie tentatively agreed to explore the cliff. As they ventured higher, Maggie's foot slipped on a loose rock. 'Help, Cassie!' she cried out as she dangled over the edge, her heart pounding with fear.
4
In that moment, something stirred within Cassie. Despite her own fear, she knew she had to help her friend. With newfound determination, she began to climb the tree, her muscles trembling but her spirit unwavering. Inch by inch, she reached Maggie and pulled her to safety.
5
As they sat together, catching their breath, Cassie felt a warm glow inside her. She had faced her greatest fear to save her friend. From that day on, Cassie discovered a newfound courage within herself, and her fear of heights began to fade.
6
Maggie hugged Cassie tightly, grateful for her friend's bravery. 'We can have even more adventures now, Cassie,' she said with a twinkle in her eye. 'Together, we can conquer anything!' And so, the two friends set off on new and exciting escapades, with Cassie's courage shining brighter than ever.
7
And so, the tale of Cassie the Cowardly Cougar became a legend in Gentlewood Forest. Children and animals alike learned the valuable lesson that courage can prevail over fear, and that true friends support and uplift each other, no matter the challenge.
