The Big Surprise
Taim & the Lost Island
Taim jumped up and down with excitement. Uncle Amer was taking him fishing today! "The ocean has many secrets," Uncle Amer said with a smile.
1
Uncle Amer helped Taim put on his life jacket. The small boat rocked gently as they climbed aboard. "Hold on tight, little explorer," Uncle Amer said as he started the engine.
2
Taim pointed at something in the water. "Look, Uncle Amer, an island!" The small patch of sand wasn't on their map. "The tide must be very low today," Uncle Amer explained.
3
They carefully steered toward the mysterious island. The boat's bottom scraped gently on the sand. "Let's explore, but we must return before high tide," Uncle Amer warned.
4
Taim's small feet left tiny prints in the wet sand. "No one has walked here today," he announced proudly. Uncle Amer nodded, "We might be the first visitors."
5
"Look for treasure," Uncle Amer suggested with a wink. Taim began collecting colorful shells and smooth stones. Each new find made him squeal with delight.
6
A small red crab scuttled near Taim's toes. "Hello, Mr. Crab!" Taim whispered, crouching down. The crab waved its claws before hurrying back to the water.
7
"Uncle Amer, look!" Taim held up a spiral shell with rainbow colors. "That's a rare rainbow shell," Uncle Amer explained. "The island has given you a special gift."
8
Uncle Amer pointed to the water creeping closer. "The tide is coming in, Taim." Taim watched in amazement as the island began to shrink. "The sea is taking it back."
9
"Time to go," Uncle Amer said gently. Taim waved goodbye to the disappearing island. "Will it come back?" he asked hopefully.
10
"The island appears when the tide is very low," Uncle Amer explained. Taim clutched his bag of shells tightly. The boat bounced over small waves as they headed home.
11
That night, Taim dreamed of his island adventure. In the morning, he arranged his shells on the windowsill. "Until next time," he whispered to his lost island.
