A Night Before School
Rose
Rose lay in bed, her little heart filled with excitement and a bit of nervousness. Tomorrow was her first day at school! Mama, Mother Raccoon, sat beside her, gently stroking her fur. "You'll have so much fun, Rose," Mama whispered reassuringly. Rose smiled, feeling a little braver.

The sun peeked through the trees, waking Rose up bright and early. Mama was already in the kitchen, preparing a delicious breakfast. Rose ran to her mother, wrapping her tiny arms around her. "Good morning, my brave little one," Mama said, hugging her tightly. Rose felt warm and ready for the day.

After breakfast, Mama helped Rose pack her school bag. Rose felt a mix of excitement and butterflies in her tummy. "Remember, just be yourself," Mama said, giving Rose a reassuring smile. Together, they walked through the forest path, heading to school. Rose held Mama's hand tightly, feeling safe and loved.

At school, Rose saw many new faces and felt a little shy. Ms. Berry, the friendly teacher, welcomed the students with a big smile. "Hello, Rose! We're so happy to have you here," Ms. Berry said warmly. Rose felt a little less nervous. She was glad to meet someone so kind.

In the classroom, Rose sat next to other baby raccoons and bears. They shared stories about their homes and families. Rose listened eagerly, feeling more at ease. She even made a new friend named Lily, who loved to draw. Rose felt happy to be part of the class.

Ms. Berry taught the class about the forest and its wonders. Rose loved learning about the different trees and animals. They played games and sang songs, filling the room with laughter. Rose realized that school was a fun place to be. She couldn't wait to tell Mama all about it.

As the day ended, Ms. Berry had a surprise for everyone. She gave each student a small book about the forest. "This is for you to remember your first day," Ms. Berry said. Rose felt so happy and proud. She clutched her book tightly, eager to show Mama.

When Rose got home, she ran to Mama with her book. "Look, Mama! I had the best day!" Rose exclaimed. Mama hugged her tightly, proud of her little raccoon. Rose knew she had many more adventures to come. And she was ready for all of them.
