Linette's Dream
Linette finds her song
Linette was a small, cute blue songbird who loved to sing. Her mother, Lily, always encouraged her to join the jungle's singing competition. But Linette felt she wasn't good enough to compete. Lily assured her that she had a beautiful voice and would be the best singer in the whole jungle. They hugged happily, but Linette said she was happy just singing for her mom.

One day, while Linette and Lily were out flying, a human hunter shot Lily. Before passing away, Lily told Linette that her last wish was for Linette to pursue her dreams of being the best singer in the jungle. Linette was heartbroken and didn't want to fulfill her mother's wish at first. But she saw many signs that she should do it. So, she decided to join the competition.

The day of the competition arrived, and Linette was very scared. She felt all the eyes of the different animals in the audience on her. She closed her eyes and thought of her mother, Lily. Then, she began to sing. With her eyes closed, she sang her heart out, thinking of her mom the entire time.

When she finished, Linette opened her eyes and saw that everyone was shocked by her talent. The audience stood up and gave her a standing ovation. It was time to announce the winners, and Linette was very nervous. She remembered her mother's words that it was okay not to win. Linette didn't win first place but still got a place, and this made her more confident and motivated.
