The Midnight Whispers
Jace
In his room one night, as Jace lay in bed, he heard a whispering voice, about adventures ahead. From the closet it came, soft as a breeze, teasing and calling, 'Come play, please!' Curiosity sparked in Jace's bright eyes, as he tiptoed over, full of surprise.
1
Jace opened the closet and gasped in awe, rows and rows of doors like he'd never saw! With colors so bright, each had a number to read, from one to twenty—where would they lead? Each door was a mystery, shining and bold, stories untold waiting to unfold.
2
He started with one, painted a sunny hue, stepping inside, he found skies so blue. Puffs of clouds and fields of golden corn, he ran through the meadow feeling reborn. 'Hello,' called a sheep with a soft little bleat, Jace waved with joy as he danced to the beat.
3
Next was six, the door with bubbles so bright, he slipped through quick, disappearing from sight. Into the ocean, he swam with the fish, waves of wonder fulfilled this young boy's wish. Then came seven, colored a lively plum, with orchards of candy, Jace chewed bubblegum!
4
Door number eight was orange and round, leading Jace to a land where laughter was found. The grass was soft, made of marshmallow fluff, Jace jumped and giggled—he'd never get enough! But the voice grew stronger, calling his name, pushing him forward in this magical game.
5
Twelve was golden, shining like the sun, Jace opened it wide, ready to run. The land was a circus, with clowns and more, Jace laughed aloud as he explored this floor. He spotted a lion with a grin so wide, urging him forward, never to hide.
6
The voice was now near, echoing through space, Jace followed the call, picking up the pace. Each door he’d open led him on a spree, filled with whispers of joy and wild glee. As he bounced and flew, spinning with grace, he wondered what lay at the end of this chase.
7
At last, he approached door number twenty, his heart filled with courage, his eyes bright with plenty. It shimmered and gleamed, painted glistening red, and inside waited the voice that had led. Jace pushed it open, with a little shove, into the arms of a world made of love.
8
In the room stood the voice—a funny sight to see, a Bubble Gum Monster, giggling with glee. 'Hello there, friend!' it said with a cheer, 'I've waited so patiently, for you to be near.' The monster was pink with shoes so small, its one eye twinkled as it stood so tall.
9
'Tag you're it!' the monster laughed with a grin, and Jace felt the thrill from deep within. He raced back through doors, many a one, seeing each world was so much fun. Through cotton candy clouds and oceans wide, Jace’s heart leaped with joy, nowhere to hide.
10
Each door flew open, revealing delight, as Jace hurried through in the warm moonlight. Past the sweet clown, the orchards, and sea, with the monster close, counting by three. Laughter and joy bounced off the walls, with tales told forever within these halls.
11
At the end of it all, on the twinkling leaf, the monster caught Jace, much to his relief. 'You’re great at this game!' chuckled the friend, 'But it’s time for bed, though fun has no end.' So Jace returned, with a merry heart glow, dreaming of adventures across the rainbow.
