A New Friend
Dax and Jelley go to school
Hailey loved dinosaurs more than anything. One sunny morning, she was playing with her toy dinosaurs in the backyard. Suddenly, she heard a soft meow. Looking around, she saw a black cat with big green eyes staring at her. Hailey smiled and walked over to the cat. 'Hello there,' she said softly. The cat purred and rubbed against her leg. Hailey decided to name the cat Dax.

Hailey was excited to have a new friend. She petted Dax gently and noticed how shiny his fur was. Dax seemed to like Hailey too. He followed her everywhere she went. Hailey showed Dax her dinosaur collection. Dax sniffed the toy dinosaurs curiously. Hailey laughed and said, 'You like dinosaurs too, don't you, Dax?' Dax meowed as if he understood.

The next day, Hailey had to go to school. She wished she could take Dax with her. To her surprise, Dax followed her to the school bus. 'You can't come to school, Dax,' Hailey said. But Dax wouldn't leave her side. When Hailey got on the bus, Dax jumped in too. The bus driver chuckled and said, 'Looks like we have a new student today!'

At school, everyone was amazed to see a cat in the classroom. Hailey's best friend, Tommy, was especially excited. 'Wow, Hailey! Is that your cat?' he asked. 'Yes, this is Dax,' Hailey replied proudly. Dax explored the classroom, sniffing around. The teacher, Mrs. Green, smiled and said, 'Well, Dax, I hope you're ready to learn!' Dax meowed and settled down by Hailey's desk.

During recess, Hailey and Tommy played outside with Dax. Suddenly, they heard another meow. A small calico tabby mix cat with white paws and a white fur belly appeared. 'Who's this?' Tommy asked. Hailey bent down and petted the new cat. 'I think I'll call her Jelley,' she said. Dax and Jelley seemed to get along well. They played together while the kids watched.

Back in the classroom, Dax and Jelley sat quietly by Hailey's desk. Mrs. Green started the lesson about dinosaurs. Hailey was thrilled. She knew a lot about dinosaurs and loved sharing her knowledge. Dax and Jelley listened attentively. Tommy raised his hand and asked a question about T-Rex. Hailey answered confidently. It was a fun and exciting day for everyone.

The next day, Mrs. Green had a special lesson planned. 'Today, we're going to learn about Jesus,' she announced. Hailey and Tommy listened eagerly. Mrs. Green told them stories about Jesus' kindness and love. Dax and Jelley seemed to enjoy the stories too. Hailey felt warm and happy inside. She loved learning new things with her friends.

Inspired by the lesson, Hailey and Tommy decided to help others. They made cards for their classmates. Dax and Jelley 'helped' by sitting on the cards. Everyone loved the cards and felt happy. Mrs. Green praised Hailey and Tommy for their kindness. Dax and Jelley purred happily. It felt good to do something nice for others.

One day, Hailey's class had a surprise visitor. It was a dinosaur expert! Hailey was over the moon. The expert showed them fossils and talked about different dinosaurs. Dax and Jelley sat quietly, listening. Hailey asked lots of questions. The expert was impressed by her knowledge. It was a day Hailey would never forget.

During a science lesson, Hailey made a discovery. She found a small fossil in the school garden. 'Look, everyone!' she shouted. The teacher and students gathered around. Dax and Jelley sniffed the fossil curiously. Mrs. Green was very proud of Hailey. 'You might be a paleontologist one day,' she said. Hailey beamed with pride.

The class went on a field trip to a dinosaur museum. Hailey was excited to see real dinosaur bones. Dax and Jelley came along too. The museum guide showed them around. Hailey learned even more about her favorite dinosaurs. Tommy took lots of pictures. It was an amazing day for everyone.
