The Announcement
Ava, the dancing star!
One sunny afternoon, in a bright and cheerful dance studio, Ava was twirling and leaping with her friends. They were all laughing and enjoying their dance class. Suddenly, their dance teacher called for everyone's attention. She had a big smile on her face as she announced the upcoming spring dance recital. Ava's eyes sparkled with excitement at the news. But as she thought about performing on stage, a tiny worry started to grow in her mind.

After class, Ava walked home with her parents. She was quiet, thinking about the recital. Finally, she looked up at her mom and dad and said, 'I'm worried about the dance recital. What if I forget the steps?' Her parents smiled gently and hugged her. 'It's okay, Ava. We'll help you practice and find ways to remember the routine,' they promised. Ava felt a little better, knowing her parents were there to help.

That evening, Ava and her parents sat in the living room, making a plan. 'Let's use pictures and cards with dance moves drawn on them to help you remember,' her mom suggested. Ava loved drawing, so this idea made her smile. They spent the next hour drawing and laughing together. By the end, they had a colorful set of visual cards for each step of Ava's dance routine.

Every day after school, Ava would practice with her friends from dance class. They used the pictures and cards to remember the dance steps. Ava started to feel more confident. She enjoyed dancing more and more, without worrying about forgetting. Her parents cheered her on, proud of Ava's hard work and dedication.

As the days passed, Ava's confidence grew. She practiced her routine every day, using the visual cards her parents had helped her make. She even started to add her own style to the dance. Ava's parents noticed their daughter's growing confidence and knew Ava was ready for the spring dance recital.

The day before the recital, Ava was a bundle of nerves and excitement. She practiced her routine one last time in the living room. 'You're going to be amazing, Ava,' her parents said, giving her a big hug. That night, Ava went to bed early, dreaming of her dance.

The day of the recital arrived. Ava felt butterflies in her stomach as she put on her dance costume. Backstage, she went through her routine in her head, using the visual cards she had practiced with. When it was her turn, she stepped onto the stage confidently. The music started, and Ava danced beautifully, remembering every step.

As Ava finished her performance, the audience erupted into applause. She felt proud and happy. Walking off the stage, she saw her parents waiting with open arms. 'You danced like a star, Ava!' her mom and dad exclaimed. They gave her a bouquet of flowers. Ava beamed with joy. She had conquered her fear, learned a new way to remember her dance routine, and truly danced like a star.
