Adi Goes to School

Just after sunrise, Adi sets off on a joyful adventure to reach his school in India. As Adi strolls down the dusty path, he is joined by a parade of furry friends who like to follow him to school every morning. They bark at the vibrant parrots who peep in the tree tops. Their feathers are a stunning spectacle. Adi loves his morning walks with his animal friends.

Suddenly, Adi hears a high-pitched honking noise. Is it an auto rickshaw? Is it a bus? No. It is a majestic peacock! Adi waves and says, 'Good morning, Mr. Peacock!'

Adi loves to say good morning to the brood of chickens always chattering near the chaiwala. 'Shubh prabhaat!' Adi says with a wave. 'Boc! Boc! Boc!' They reply. On the riverbanks of the Ganga, Adi marvels at the playful river dolphins jumping in and out of the water. He was not paying attention to what was stomping his way...

Adi jumped to the side as fast and far as he could to make way for a majestic elephant who sways gently with heavy footsteps. STOMP! STOMP! STOMP! Just before he reaches the gate to his school, Adi stops to give warm rotis to a gentle cow with big, soulful eyes who grazes nearby. Each day’s walk to school is a magical journey filled with new animal friends and exciting discoveries. 'I hope I see a tiger tomorrow,' Adi thought.
